                          </strong>
                        </p>
                        <p>A Flood Advice is in place for people in the GREENOUGH RIVER catchment, including the Irwin and Chapman Rivers.</p><p>There is no immediate danger but you need to keep up to date in case the situation changes.</p>
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        
                          <p class="subtitle" style="font-weight: 600; color: #777777">WHAT TO DO</p>
                          <ul><li><p>Never walk, swim or play in floodwaters as they are dangerous.</p></li><li><p>Prepare to move cars, equipment, livestock and pets early so they are not caught in floodwaters.</p></li><li><p>Prepare an emergency kit including enough canned food and water to last for five to seven days, as well as clothing, important documents such as identification and insurance papers, medication, cash and an AM/FM radio that runs off batteries to listen to warnings.</p></li><li><p>Fill your vehicle's fuel tank.</p></li><li><p>Watch for changes in water levels so you are ready if you need to leave.</p></li><li><p>Do not park or camp adjacent to rivers.</p></li><li><p>Review your plan and make sure everyone in your household knows what to do. If you do not have a plan, make one now on <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://emergency.wa.gov.au/plan">Emergency WA</a> or in the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://emergency.wa.gov.au/app/plan">Emergency WA app</a>.</p></li></ul><p><strong>If driving:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Be careful at crossings and floodways as river levels may rise rapidly.</p></li><li><p>Obey road closure signs and do not drive into water of unknown depth and current.</p></li><li><p>Take care on gravel and unsealed roads as they may be slippery and muddy, and you could get bogged.</p></li><li><p>Carry extra food and water when travelling in case of long delays at crossings.</p></li></ul>

                      <p>As at 1:54pm Wednesday 10 June, the Bureau of Meteorology advised a rain band will affect west-central Western Australia during Thursday and Friday, as a humid airmass interacts with a broad upper-level trough. This is forecast to generate widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall over the<br>flood watch area.<br><br>In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday, no significant rainfall totals have been recorded over the flood watch area, although the catchment is moderately wet.<br><br>Widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall is likely to cause flooding in the flood watch area.                         <ul><li><p>A Smoke Alert has been issued for people travelling along Great Northern Highway, Duncan Road and the Halls Creek townsite in the SHIRE OF HALLS CREEK.</p></li><li><p>The smoke is the result of prescribed burning being carried out in an area north east of the Halls Creek townsite.</p></li><li><p>The smoke is expected to clear by tomorrow.</p></li></ul>
