                            Coastal Hazard Advice - MONITOR CONDITIONS - parts of MIDWEST GASCOYNE, PERTH METROPOLITAN, SOUTH WEST, LOWER SOUTH WEST and GREAT SOUTHERN
                          </strong>
                        </p>
                        <p>A Coastal Hazard Advice is current for parts of MIDWEST GASCOYNE, PERTH METROPOLITAN, SOUTH WEST, LOWER SOUTH WEST and GREAT SOUTHERN.</p><p>You need to act now and stay safe with severe weather forecast, including damaging surf and abnormally high tides expected for the southwest.</p>
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        
                        <p>Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, Geraldton, Mandurah, Margaret River and Perth.</p>
                          <p class="subtitle" style="font-weight: 600; color: #777777">WHAT TO DO</p>
                          <ul><li><p>If boating, swimming or surfing prepare to leave the water.</p></li><li><p>Keep away from coastal areas including beaches, tidal rivers, creeks, cliff areas and sand dunes.</p></li><li><p>Beach closures may be in place. Follow the advice of local authorities.</p></li><li><p>Keep away from flooded drains. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and current.</p></li><li><p>If you live in the risk area, be prepared to relocate to a safer place.</p></li><li><p>Move furniture and other items up high to avoid water damage and store or tie-down loose items which may be moved by strong winds.</p></li><li><p>Have an evacuation kit ready including medicines, important documents, pet supplies and clothing.</p></li><li><p>In a life threatening situation call 000</p></li><li><p>If your home or property has significant damage like flooding, call the SES on 132 500.</p></li></ul>

                    <p class="subtitle" style="font-weight: 600; color: #777777">STORM DETAILS</p>
                      <p>At 10:54pm Sunday, 31 May 2026, the Bureau of Meteorology advised a deepening and intense low pressure system currently offshore the southwest coast is bringing gale force westerly winds, elevated sea levels and large and powerful waves. </p><p>The low pressure system is expected to move east during Monday with sea levels and waves remaining elevated until Monday afternoon.</p><p>Damaging surf conditions which may lead to coastal erosion and localised damage to coastal infrastructure are possible between Gregory and Cape Leeuwin. </p><p>Increased wave heights and Damaging surf conditions possible through to Monday afternoon.</p><p>Beach conditions in these areas could be dangerous and people should stay well away from the surf and surf exposed areas.</p><p>Abnormally high tides which may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas are likely between Jurien Bay and Israelite Bay. </p><p>Tides are expected to rise well above the normal high tide mark for coastal areas between Cape Leeuwin and Israelite Bay during the Monday morning high tide. </p><p>Tides between Jurien Bay and Cape Leeuwin are also expected to rise above the normal high tide mark Monday morning but are not expected to be as high as Sunday morning.</p><p>A separate warning for damaging, locally destructive winds and heavy rainfall is also current. </p><p>For more details, refer to <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts" style="color: #0070f3; text-decoration: underline; word-wrap: break-word; white-space: normal;">https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts</a></p>

                        <p><strong>Park Closure for Nyinggulara National Park (Ex-Ningaloo) in the SHIRE OF EXMOUTH.</strong></p>
                          <p>The Parks and Wildlife Service has issued a park closure for Nyinggulara National Park (Ex-Ningaloo) in the SHIRE OF EXMOUTH due to impacts from Tropical Cyclone Narelle.</p><p>The park will be closed from 4.30pm on Wednesday 25 March until further notice.</p>
