Storm Advice - THREAT IS REDUCED - parts of GOLDFIELDS MIDLANDS
A Storm Advice is current for parts of GOLDFIELDS MIDLANDS.
The immediate threat has reduced however you need to be aware of potential hazards that remain after the storm has passed.
WHAT TO DO
Be careful of fallen trees, damaged buildings and debris.
Stay away from fallen powerlines, they are dangerous and should always be treated as live.
Look around your home, car and property for damage.
If damage has occurred and you are insured, contact your insurance company and take photos.
If your home has significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES for assistance with temporary repairs on 132 500.
If you do not have a plan, make one now on Emergency WA or in the Emergency WA app to stay safe in future emergencies.
STORM DETAILS
At 10.01pm on 25 September 2026, the Bureau of Meteorology advised severe thunderstorms have eased about parts of the Goldfields this evening.
Thunderstorms are continuing to develop east of a trough in a moist and unstable environment this evening, however the risk of severity has eased.
This warning is now cancelled.
ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS
Some roads may be closed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully. Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map, calling 138 138 or by contacting your Local Government Authority.
